Tone News
December 28, 2005 Okay, Gang, here's the news at the launch of this new year... Saturday January 7th and Sunday January 8th Many of you know how our performance world has been broaden over the past two years by our ongoing association with the Bowen McCauley Dance Company of Arlington, Virginia. On these rapidly approaching days, we aim to take the situation a notch higher. In addition to a re-presentation of " TELEMETRY " our set with BMDC from last year as a show closer, we are also pleased to share that Tone will be performing an all new, specially commissioned piece, created in collaboration with company leader Lucy Bowen McCauley. As an ensemble, we spent a big portion of our spring and summer working on the various parts that now come together for this work, titled by Lucy as " AMYGDALA . " This is the 10th anniversary concert for BMDC, and the world premier of this new commissioned piece Amygdala. This is the music of Tone presented unlike most of our shows -- with the intense, physical focusing component of the choreography of Lucy Bowen McCauley -- live at the Kennedy Center. We discovered wonderfully last year how well the Terrace Theater works for our electro/acoustic wall of sound and we invite and encourage any of our friends to hear and see this music in a fantastic sounding space. By visiting the Bowen McCauley Dance Company web-site, you can preview a video of some of last year's show: Tickets for the best seats can be purchased online thru the Bowen McCauley website. Please just indicate you wish to be in the "Tone Section" with your purchase and you will have access to prime sound and sight seats to either performance (Sat or Sun):
